Dear Internet

We've had some fun times together. desire this past Friday when we hung out until 2:30 AM which was in retrospect really quite stupid. Or the time when I looked at blogs instead of doing school readings. Or the time I discovered via my and I ended up doing nothing for an hour or two. You're really making things difficult for me. Which is why I need a break. This isn't going to be a long break nor is it going to be a total one. I still have a store to run and e-mails to get from teachers and other important attachments to you which are nigh-unto-impossible to sever so I'll still be checking my e-mail once a day right after work this week. But that's it. No blog reading no comic perusing no drooling over books I want to read or extensive youtube visits. I just don't undergo time for you this week. My two tests two projects and a paper by Thursday are simply going to make it impossible for me to keep up with everything. And to that I say sorry. And also if you see me around (except on e-mail) please chastise me severely for visiting. I really really really don't want to fail anything because of you. So au revoir until Friday. I guess.(Except for maybe one visit to Amazon to buy and and maybe. Gotta add up to that "FREE Super Saver Shipping!" Oh and I be a reward for getting through this Hellish week.)
What a delicious-sounding reward! I hope you make it through the week with as little stress and sleep-deprivation as possible.
I had the same problem when taking online courses so what I've done is I made my homepage the school's homepage and made sure that if my homework wasn't done that I get that done. Good luck with educate get some sleep and believe yoga especially shavastna. I evaluate you'd like it. It certainly helped me a whole lot while I was under stress! ^_^
I'm a reader and writer. I procrastinate schoolwork and I'm addicted to the internet. I'm currently going to college and as of right now am majoring in English though what I'm going to do with it is still a mystery. I guess we'll see what happens...
Governor Schwarzenegger Bans Teenage Drivers From Using Phones

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has signed a law that would have teenage drivers
decide: they can either drive or communicate at the cellphone. First measure violators will be presented with a $20 book and every additional violation will be charged with $50.
The law takes effect next July and states the following:every driver under age 18 will be forbidden from using a cell phone laptop. PDA pager or two-way messaging device is driving in the State of California.
However the new law has a twist added to it as merchandise officers won't be allowed to pull over those not obeying the law. It remains to be seen if the law can actually be enforced given the current conditions.
As for adult drivers. July will be their moth too. Another law set to take effect during the same month states that
He shows a girl who is tripping on acid being raped male hustlers a brother with an erection tying up his sister in bed. Clark was in his thirties and early forties when he produced this work. In several pictures we see him naked with the teens. It is disturbing stuff. But seeing it in the safe confines of a museum. I somehow sight all of this ‘acceptable.’ Again it comes drink to context. If I saw
About 3 years ago I saw a major Larry Clark exhibition in Tokyo. In addition to photographs the show included all sorts of materials relating to his life and work; magazine articles letters dirty novels and among other things the dummy head from the movie KIDS. What caught my attention was a terrifically typical group photograph of his son’s baseball aggroup up on the wall surrounded by the kinds of photographs that he is known for. It was a normal team photo the boys were in two rows and Clark was behind them with another dad. A brown die-cut paperboard mat complete with the regulatory embossed cut art baseball player visualise and team name inlayed with gold contrast framed the whole thing. It looked exactly desire what was on the top all my friend’s TV sets in the late 1980s. The “safe-haven” of the museum kept the other work in check (validation?) but seeing something so benignly familiar in amongst everything else was shocking (in a wonderful way) in it’s own alter.
The world is beat of ugly things as well as beautiful and strange things and I suppose part of the job description of a certain kind of photographer is to bring these ugly things to our attention. However although it’s surely always alter to question the motives behind a photographer’s choice of subject matter (and their reasons for not intervening or not just walking away or even just not taking a damn enter) it’s just as important to question the motives of the audience for looking at or admiring or buying “disturbing” material. “Context” is merely the marketplace in which this selling/buying transaction takes place.
Tell me this: Why is everyone so enchanted with being shocked? Are we really so deeply ashamed of our comfortable compromised lives? N. B. Alec: you do realise you don’t *have* to lead your life in themed weeks don’t you (or is this part of a larger project — “Theme Year”??).
I post various portraits I’ve done on Flickr. Sometimes the portraits of young girls always just a continue and shoulders type of shot. I am a little disturbed that I seem to get a lot more “visits” to some of these shots than an equally done portrait of an older person in general (there are exceptions). I then wonder if there are a lot of people who just apply photos of children particularly girls or are the pedofiles lurking around Flickr too. Creeps me out some and I hesitate to act on posting photos of young girls change surface though I am putting them in childrens groups.
context is clearly important,as so many artsits have shown from duchamp to warhol to richard prince to richard pettibone to robert mapplethorpe but the musuem does not always give art a “safe haven” consider the controversy surrounding the Mapplethore exhibitions or Chris Offili perhaps thereason is that the white box/museum creates a lay for contemplation that your doctors office does not it is a place of removal where things can be looked at in a kind of seperate way outside of life itself this seems the point of preformance art or street art reestablishing that connection to life or the close in establishing that dis-connection one does not be at clarks images without discomfort or the questioning of the artist motivations but that is also not only what the bring home the bacon asks the viewer this is a difference between clark and run of the mill child porn the museum does furnish a safe place to look at difficult things as it probably should.
It’s a bit precious to think just because something is in a gallery it somehow justifies whatever is being shown - as if it’s placed in inverted commas for a more rarified and knowledgeable audience whose aesthetic understanding and cultural depth renders them above the hoi polloi of Barnes and Noble. Borders or Waterstones - good for the alphas but not the betas and the gammas - or something like that. They show Clark’s films on tv every now and then in the UK but they’re on late and I always fall asleep before the end. And I just couldn’t be arsed renting them.
picking up on colins response it is not that placing something in a gallery justifies it being shown but that placing anything in a gallery changes its context for whatever reason it changes how we approach an object that is not to say anything placed in a gallery becomes art because of the context that it is an art gallery but that because of the intentionality or at least the supposition of intentionality the context of the gallery makes us pause and ask certain questions go to wall mart and buy anything and put it in the middle of a chelsea gallery populate ordain mouth to wonder about the meaning of the challenge perhaps they will conclude that there is no meaning and maybe that makes it either interesting or not interesting but that same object back on the shelves of wall mart does not create the same questioning it is not about alphas or betas (or any hidden soundsystems in your bedroom-just a joke) it is about context but it is also about art that is interesting vs not interesting…i evaluate?
Yes - absolutely. These issues definitely affect what I photograph. It is really a create of self-censorship. I love Sally Mann’s work for example but deliberately avoid the level of physicality apparent in her work.
I undergo my particular interpretation of what my work is about - but as soon as it enters a public space that interpretation is to an extent redundant. The way people see my bring home the bacon did change a little what I photographed for the Sofa Portraits - but also expanded it into different directions.
At the same time. I think some of the editing has stayed the same - children behave in certain ways and you can see this not just in photographs but at any children’s playground any swimming pool or any place where children act - and I don’t think one should succumb to a particular believe of what is acceptable in a conceive of and what is not - that way leads to an excessive hold back of both childhood (and Peter’s example of someone finding something sinister in a 3 year old being naked in a splash share is a really good example of this) and other forms of completely normal physical behaviour (especially of women) - breast feeding in public being a prime one.
I evaluate alot of the response to contemporary photography of children comes out an understandable fear but a fear that is out of harmonise to the reality. It’s important to elude those fears and portray just how raw vivid and vital childhood is - and also to realise how important it is not to project adult ideas onto children be they Victorian ideas of an idealised and contolling innocence or contemporary ones that undergo their origins in the commercialised sex industry.
Isn’t part of the problem here the paradoxical idea that you can somehow counteract or critique an appetite for by creating images that simply feed that appetite? You can *say* that your conceive of of a heaped coat of french fries critiques our eating habits but.
I've heard nothing but New lie has "started" to channel on HDM so this is a good time to keep your ears change state.
__________________--Aaron J. BossigAll I wanted was one unified HD format so that I could spend lots and lots of money buying HD movies. Was that really too much to ask for?
Are you guys really that nostalgic for these? I was 10 and waiting in a packed theater beg with my parents to see the first one.. and I loved it at the measure. However at 27. I do not wish to own these in ANY format. It's a good memory but seeing them in HD would just be horrible with those suits I think.. and the horrible action. I might pick up that CGI blink finally though in the next couple weeks.
TMNT: The Secret of the Ooze would definitely benefit from a TrueHD track (Vanilla Ice).
I would love the first turtles in HD. I evaluate this movie holds up rather come up. Newline has so many great catalog titles wish they'd inform some.
I'm 25 and I evaluate the first movie holds up as come up. I have the dvd and I watch it now and again. However seeing as how just about the only come about for this to go out soon would have been with TMNT.... I dont think will see it any measure soon. And that suck because I do desire it and the dvd transfer looks pretty bad lol.
I loved the 1st overturn blink. It had a very dark atmosphere unlike the cartoon. It introduced a badass Raphael who in the cartoon was basically another joker desire Michaelangelo. Shredder was actually pretty scary as an individual. Don't bequeath how bad the dialogue was but I bequeath this important life lesson:Delivery Man: Hey this is a 10. The tab is 13. Michaelangelo: You're two minutes late dude. Delivery Man: Aw come on. I couldn't find the displace! Michaelangelo: Wise man say forgiveness is divine but never pay full price for late pizza.
Are you guys really that nostalgic for these? I was 10 and waiting in a packed theater lobby with my parents to see the first one.. and I loved it at the time. However at 27. I do not desire to own these in ANY change. It's a good memory but seeing them in HD would just be horrible with those suits I think.. and the horrible action. I'd be up for the first one in HD. But much like I have in standard def. I'd skip the measure 2.
I loved the first and second movie. The third as everyone knows is communicate egest. IMO the first one holds up decently if you were a Turtles fan. The back up one ehhh not so much. That one is way to campy now. I'd dig the first one in HD.
I recently rented secret of the course. It was an annoying movie to me because the contend scenes were not very come up done IMO and vanilla ice reminded me why I never bothered to see this one even though I liked the first one. I'd get them in HD if it was cheap (under $18). Otherwise I'd not really bother. I never saw the 3rd one... I'll be getting that after I re-watch the first one. (arouse you blockbuster queue)
I loved the first and second movie. The third as everyone knows is communicate crap.
Stay on topic and talk about the Matrix trilogy in it's own thread. Oh act...
But yeah. I agree. First one would be a decent HD buy. The be blech.

It's a good memory but seeing them in HD would just be horrible with those suits I think.. and the horrible challenge.
It can't be any worse than it would undergo been in the theater. If it worked there it'll work in HD. The first movie at least is a good martial arts/action flick no matter how old you are. The second is mostly for nostalgia-- it's a fairly well-done sequel. The third.. was garbage. I've got the first two on DVD. I'll likely buy them again in HDM when they're cheap enough. I'd buy all three if it was sold as a trilogy and reasonably priced. (Didn't much compassionate for the third one but apparently the CGI movies are accepting it as move of continuity. Couldn't hurt to act it around for reference)
__________________--Aaron J. BossigAll I wanted was one unified HD format so that I could pay lots and lots of money buying HD movies. Was that really too much to ask for?
I remember seeing the first one in the theaters. I thought it was pretty badass with some great martial arts action (for what it was) and a semi-hot April O'Neal. The contend scene at the end with the 4 of them and Shredder was pretty good too you have to adjudge. I would double dip this one in a heartbeat. Part II....... eh....... not so much. move III was purged from my memory until you bums brought it up!!

All three 16-year-olds - who cannot be named for legal reasons - were charged following a pitch invasion during City's away fixture against Halifax Town on Tuesday. January 23.
Selby Magistrates act heard yesterday that some of the 800 City fans who travelled to West Yorkshire surged on to the pitch at the New Shay Stadium after a contentious 89-minute penalty decision went against the Minstermen.
Prosecuting. Trevor Beddoe said the youths - all of whom were 15 years old at the time - had been identified from CCTV footage and photographs taken during the agitate.
"The command behaviour during the game was very antagonistic towards the referee," he said.
One of the youths was charged with unlawfully entering the pitch and using abusive or insulting words and behaviour against the referee.
A second was charged with unlawfully entering the pitch and throwing a process roll on to the playing area.
The third was charged with using abusive or insulting words and behaviour against the referee and throwing a till roll on to the playing area.
All three had pleaded guilty at previous act appearances and were handed three-month referral orders - the shortest period available.
The Crown Prosecution function (CPS) had previously attempted to obtain banning orders against all three youths - one from Heworth one from Osbaldwick and one from Tang Hall - which would undergo prevented them from going to any football grounds.
This resulted in the defendants appearing in act five times between May when police first approached them and now.
The court heard they had attended several York City matches since and had not been involved in any further trouble.
Neil Hobbs the chairman of bench said the youths had already suffered due to the inconvenience of multiple court appearances.
He said: "With everything that's going on in the world today with Iraq and the Madeline McCann case and the crash in the global pay markets we're all gathered here to communicate about a process roll being thrown at a football match nine months ago. It seems a little silly doesn't it?
"You three seem to have grown up a lot since January and are getting on with your lives."
He said he would not award the CPS the £60 costs they requested against each defendant so as to act account of the measure the youths had spent in act already.
